We Can’t Chill (Chill) is inspired by my headaches and thoughts I had while having them.

I tried something new, something more energetically euphorical. I produced this in summer of 2014. Been experimenting with Ableton Live 9, then I found the noise instrument. It had some flute parameters, made it sound interesting, and since I love(d) listening to white noise or Rainymood, it always gave me goosebumps while hearing it.

Now after few years, I discovered that in the same year, Clark released Winter Linn, which audibly are similarities of my song, which I found wicked.

Breakwave is about me feeling older than I physically am.

You can listen to it here.

I often felt and feel quite uncomfortable around people my age or under. I always enjoyed classic music and old-school pop. I created the beats and percussion to be as artifact sounding as possible, to give it an authentic taste. Few older friends of mine told me they really enjoy the vibes of the song.

Memorable is one of my most beloved songs ever.

You can listen to it here.

Has as much emotion as I experienced in my life since I was born to the point of composing it.

The song resembles my feelings I have had during traveling with trains, buses and trams. Lone in a world full of strangers, finding my happiness within myself – my own feelings making me happy. I grew up internalizing emotions and having the need of sharing it through screaming out loud because they felt so strong.

It makes me feel funky when I’m sad and peaceful when I get crazy. The song’s melodical lines are well balanced for fixing my emotions at times and get back on track.

I’d lie if I’d say that I didn’t dance on this song couple of times.

Zefir is also one of my most beloved songs ever.

You can listen to it here.

I do not remember much from the production process, but I know I was living at my cousin at the time. Woke up at around 4 am to catch the train to go to school. I’ve been listening to this song lots of times almost everyday in the train and the bus.

I produced the song right after Memorable.

Avy played in a Sri Lankan club and in a local bar in the country-side city I grew up in.

You can listen to it here.

This was one of my first attempts to do something more different, when I felt dancy & clubby. I produced this when I was living at my cousin’s house, super hyped to share the song with her (my cousin), she then loved it. I don’t recall where the inspiration came from; all I can say is that I put melodical lines I really enjoyed in different instruments which sounded pretty cool.

Glove is the header song of the album, since it wears the album name.

You can listen to it here.

It doesn’t have too much emotional coherence, nor meaning. It’s a regular song of mine. Song for filling.

6/10

Evryka is meant to have a jazz touch.

You can listen to it here.

Filling song, but I like it when I’m in certain moods.

4.9/10

Train is an interlude song, which I love enormously. Should’ve made it a full song.

You can listen to it here.

I had this idea of a reggae vibe I wanted to achieve. Produced and composed the song within 2-3 hours entirely.

9.7/10

Victory! is a filler song, but I love it honestly.

You can listen to it here.

It’s euphoric and optimistic. It has literally helped me at times I felt down.

8/10

Nella (Remix) is an extended positivity boost bringer.

You can listen to it here.

Not much to say about this. I love this song.

6.7/10

TXT does not mean text.

You can listen to it here.

I’ve been a fan of minimally produced songs for a long time, even these days. I tried to put a lot of dark ambience and very click-y, crisp and sharp instruments on top of it. It came out great IMO.

10/10

K.E.L.O. is a very lonely-in-the-woods kind of song.

You can listen to it here.

It stands for Kombat End Love Out. Don’t judge me.. okay you may just this time, I don’t get where I came up with that title, but 🤷‍♂️. It is meant to have a traditional touch of my feelings. You know that feeling you get when you remember you’re unique? The immersive euphoria? Yeah, that’s what I had while producing this song.

8/10

Borday is a song I worked for a few months, to get what I want from it.

You can listen to it here.

“Borday” means eighth day of the week. Wrote it around the time when I was going to school, cold early mornings, kilometers walked to the train and nostalgia kicking in each time. It has a vinyl cut sound effect layered on top of the song because I love artifacts of deteriorating sound.

7.5/10

Termos is one of my most beloved songs (to myself).

You can listen to it here.

It is meant to give an orchestral vibe, as all the instruments playing are realistic and not studio. I love the praying of this song, it’s very optimistic, hopeful and needing. Am sure I was in love while doing this song.

10/10

Wine is a key song, a scream of help of a truly insane person.

You can listen to it here.

I only imagined myself having a concert with supportive people chanting songs of mine. I am truly insane.

Alone With You, wrote while knowing my first boyfriend.

You can listen to it here.
