I’m back

Hello you, -s -wait just a second, trying to get used to the new WordPress editor.

A whole lot happened since 17th May 2020, damn, 2 fucking years. My technical career built over these two years as of now. Having COVID-19 at the time of writing this, but no worries, the heavy symptoms are over. Hope you’re doing well!

Trying to catch up with what happened throughout 2020, as I was meaning to pay some respects to events and people I’ve met back then. There’s been this individual I spent most of my days hanging out with, they matter because I am sure that if they would’ve never existed, I wouldn’t’ve been where I am right now.

Thank you Kyle, for the great, great times hanging out, playing videogames and working on things for hours and hours with me. Too bad things turned out the way they did.

Since then, I’ve met Modgey through my friend, Purge, which I’ve met on a staging-branch Rust server, we were trying out the modular cars, then I’ve met Grimston through a community Kyle was in, then I’ve met the awesome guys at Codefling which have been my online family for more than a whole year now.

Plugins

I’ve been doing lots of these. From Ruster.NET, a great project I am really fond of, to Static Lootables and more recently Static Trader. I’ve then released Ruster.NET Addons which help developers create extension plugins for Ruster.NET which makes things even more interesting when using the plugin.

Film & Video

More than anything, I’ve been busy making videos and short films for Codefling and the RustEZ community. I’ve always wanted to be an actor and always love cinematic pieces and detail that’s put in film production. Learning and inspired a lot by great films like the Harry Potter franchise, Ari Aster’s masterpieces to date – Hereditary and Midsommar – and getting to understand the steps on creating emotions through watching a video, which heavily consists in editing, audio, lighting and movement.

Death‘s been giving me his platforms to allow me to open up creatively, and support me through the journey, and it honestly pays off really well. I’ve done about 14 videos for a Codefling competition in 2021 within a week and 2 days, and a few short films that I am extremely proud of.

I’m constantly learning, and I doubt I will ever stop. I get excited with each idea I come up with or I brainstorm / share it with, these emotions pre or during production of my projects help build up a vibe that’s bigger than I ever wanted.

This is one of my most deeply personal films I’ve made.

Community

In all this time, I’ve became increasingly more involved in the community aspect of the art great creators are putting out on Codefling. I love prioritising people’s hard, genuine work, seeing it shine, and grow successful. I love the people I am around. I very much want to thank to my lil’ Literally Raul’s Blog community as well for being awesome as always. ❤
